Booking Information
J Mason Design is currently booking brides. We suggest submitting a booking inquiry as soon as you say yes to your dress! Our calendar books up six to eight months in advance.
J Mason Design works exclusively on wedding gowns and specializes in lace work, custom designs, and heirloom restoration re-designs.
We are now partnering with Alterations by Andrea to offer Mothrs, Bridesmaids and Flower Girl alterations! Check out our ‘Moms and Bridesmaids’ page for details.

Alterations Information
As far as the alteration process goes, there are typically 3 fittings and most gown alterations run $600-900 which includes the hem, a bustle, and bodice work, but of course every gown is different.
Custom design elements, such as creating sleeves or re-designing the neckline, are offered at an additional cost.
Your wedding shoes and undergarments/shapewear are required for all fittings.
-
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required in advance and it is due within two weeks of booking your fittings.
There is an additional $100 no-show fee for missed appointments.
You can mail a check to J Mason Design, or send the payment via Zelle (you can use 603-508-7880 to find J Mason Design LLC).
Your deposit goes directly towards the balance of your alterations.

Scheduling Fittings
If you are interested in moving forward with booking, scroll down and click ‘Say Yes to the Perfect Fit’ . Let us know what days/times might work best for you and we can put together your fitting schedule. If you are aware of dates that you are unavailable (away for a Bachelorette weekend, engagement party, bridal shower, etc.), that is helpful for us to know ahead of time as well!
Our calendar is booked six to eight months in advance so it is very difficult to reschedule appointments within your preferred times with short notice. There is a $100 no-show fee for missed appointments.
Please note that we are able to accommodate schedule changes due to extenuating circumstances, illness, or an emergency situation.
-
Appointment Availability
We prefer to set all three appointments up right away and recommend starting alterations 3 months prior to the wedding date.
We take brides on a first come first serve basis, and only take a certain number of brides for each month. The sooner you are able to book fittings and submit your deposit, the better!
*Our calendar fills up quickly so please provide us with options of availability in case your preferred time is already booked.*
-
Gown Pressing & Preservation
After the alterations are completed, we recommend that brides have their gowns professionally pressed. We partner with the best professionals in our area to offer this service to our brides.
After the party is over, we offer wedding gown cleaning and preservation as well. We want you to have your gown cleaned and preserved for future use or to possible sell if you chose. Getting stains out immediately makes the difference in whether they can be easily removed or not. Ask us about preservation at your next fitting!
-
Shop Etiquette
We welcome you to bring up to two guests with you for your fittings. Bringing the entire family can get overwhelming and take the attention away from you.
We love kids (especially flower girls). However, our studio is not the most child-friendly environment as there are many sharp things, hot irons, and machines that make it unsafe.

Food & Drink
Because we work in a beautiful world of ivory wedding gowns, food and drinks are not allowed in the shop.
